More about Robert πŸ“š

Currently, Robert is writing his first book: Millrat: A Memoir from the Multi-Ethnic Working Class.

In Millrat, Robert describes his experience caring for his father, who was diagnosed with ALS. At the time, ALS was less well-known and there were no available technologies or support groups to assist Robert through this difficult time.

In the beginning, the writing that would become Robert's book focused on the impact of ALS. As ALS become more widely known through social media, the intention behind the writing changed.

"Instead of focusing on how my dad died, I want to focus on how he lived," says Robert.

πŸ“– Now, the book focuses on issues facing the multi-ethnic working class, the importance of community, and the values Robert's father instilled in him.
