More about Javonni
Growing up as a preacher's kid, Javonni was instilled with a devotion for community service from a very young age.
Javonni's father often said to her, "Donโt be a follower, be a leader. But, in order to lead, you must learn how to follow.โ
๐ซถ Javonni has held on to these words as she charts her path as a "servant leader" on Capitol Hill. Javonni is passionate about giving back to where she came from, partnering with HBCU's to provide professional opportunities and volunteering in the local community.
"Move in silence and let your work speak for you," says Javonni.
Now, as President of Congressional Black Associates, Javonni serves her community through her organization as well. CBA was also a key resource for Javonni in finding her own community in D.C. and learning the ropes on the Hill.
