More about Aaron 🍔
After his time on Capitol Hill, Aaron became a sub-contractor for Fenway – the speechwriting firm for the Biden and Harris campaigns. Leading up to the DNC, Aaron and his team of fellow writers worked in the Chicago Blackhawks locker rooms at the United Center for two weeks.
🗳️ About three weeks before the convention, when the ticket switch happened, everything got thrown out and the speechwriters had to start from scratch. Overall, about 200 speeches were delivered over the course of four nights. Each writer was responsible for about 8-10 speeches.
With such a high-energy, fast-paced environment, Aaron and the other writers followed a 50-step writing process to take speeches from a blank page to teleprompter-ready. Hear more about it in this new episode!
🏙️ After ten years in D.C., Aaron's enjoying a change of scenery as he takes advantage of Fenway's remote work by city-hopping. In each city, Aaron is on a "quest" to find the best restaurants and burgers.
While in D.C., he even built a spreadsheet that's tracked about 200 or 300 restaurants with notes on the neighborhood, atmosphere, and star-ranking.
If you're looking to connect with someone who has quite a few restaurant recommendations (with their own star-ranking system), you should talk to Aaron!
