☕️ CNCT Coffee Review: Pluma
610 Water St SW - The Wharf
Reviewed by David

I had a networking coffee on the Wharf coming up and, as someone who dodges Starbucks whenever possible, I found Pluma—a new coffee shop. As soon as I saw pics, I knew this spot was going to be solid. Pluma has a modern and minimalist vibe that is quite cozy. Their pastry offerings were extensive and I ended up with a very yummy cinnamon roll.

As for the coffee, I went out of my comfort zone to try a fall special: a cold brew with cinnamon roll cream. It was super tasty with the sugary cream balanced the bitterness of the coffee. If you’re the type that likes your caffeine high cancelled out by a sugar crash, this drink is for you.

If you’re WFH in Navy Yard or SW, we highly recommend this spot for work or networking.

CNCT’s Ratings

  • Coffee: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (great fall specials, although they’re a bit sweet)

  • Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (tried out the cinnamon roll & it tasted like Cinnabon 😋)

  • Speed: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (for being pretty busy, drinks came out quickly)

  • Ambiance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (always buzzing, but conversation-friendly)

  • Accessibility from the Hill: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (easy walk, but a time commitment)

Overall: 4/5 — If Pluma was on Capitol Hill, this would be an absolute fav for networking coffees.
