A discussion group for expats and international professionals to make new friends while having meaningful conversations on any topic
IMPORTANT: we meet at a public venue (a cinema cafe) and the venue staff is not involved with us. We kindly ask that you look for our group independently and not ask the venue staff - read our instructions below for a positive experience :)
Enjoy deep conversations with people from around the world? Want to make real friends while learning and exchanging perspectives on important topics? Every Tuesday night we get together for an open, constructive and stimulating discussion around a key topic (anything in politics, society, culture, philosophy or just life in general) with a focus on learning and finding solutions.
DETAILS FOR THIS EVENT
What: Open discussion or debate about a key topic related to society, culture, politics, philosophy and life in general (topic will be decided on the day or on our Meetup page).
When: Every Tuesday, 7:30pm until late. Please arrive punctually. Our debate starts after some casual socializing until most people arrive. The debate then lasts about 60-90 minutes, and there's some mingling after the debate, too.
Where: Curzon Aldgate (bar area), 2 Canter Way, E1 8PS
Closest stations: Aldgate East, Aldgate, Tower Hill/Gateway
Cost: Pay for your own meals or drinks
Hosts: We have a rotating team and the actual host of each event varies. Our regular members can also help you out with basic matters.
How to find us: we meet at a public venue (Curzon Cinema cafe) and the venue staff is not involved with us, so you'll need to look for our space when you arrive. We usually meet in the area with the long row of orange tables facing a long wall with black-and-white photos. Or just look for a larger group of people who are discussing
