💙 Why We’re Fundraising
This event aims to raise funds for individuals and families affected by Cyclone Ditwah, which struck Sri Lanka in November 2025. The cyclone caused severe flooding and widespread damage, affecting an estimated 1.5 million people, displacing communities, damaging homes, and disrupting livelihoods. Funds raised will support rebuilding efforts for those most impacted by the cyclone.
🌍 About the Organisers
The Sri Lanka Society is a UK registered charity (Charity Number: 269499) founded back in 1975 by four Sri Lankan expats, Dr. Raja Goonatilake, Mrs. Ratna Rajapakse, Dr. Ramanathan Sri-Pathmanathan and Mr. Harry Seevaratnam.
We are a non-political, non-racial and non-religious organisation formed primarily to help the underprivileged in Sri Lanka. We support small scale projects in healthcare, education, nutrition, which provide care to the most vulnerable in society, especially children, the elderly, terminally ill and other marginalised groups.
