Celebrating Craftland with Dr James Fox

Join Senior Curator Daniel Robbins and celebrated BBC broadcaster, art historian, author Dr James Fox for a special evening marking the Leighton House centenary. Together, they will explore the beauty and importance of traditional trades and crafts — from gilding and silk weaving to brickmaking — and how now endangered crafts have shaped Britain’s artistic heritage. The event includes a book signing and sales of Dr Fox’s new book, Craftland.

Doors open at 6:30pm for the chance to explore the historic house and our current exhibitions, 100 Years, Ghost Objects, and The View from Here.

The talk between Dr James Fox and Daniel Robbins will take place in Leighton's studio from 7-8:30pm.

The author will be signing books from 8:30-9pm.

Doors close at 9pm.

A paid bar will be open throughout the evening.
