Anna Lapwood - International Women’s Day

  • Royal Albert Hall Kensington Gore London, England, SW7 2AP United Kingdom (map)

Join the Hall's official organist Anna Lapwood and some very special guests for an International Women’s Day concert featuring favourite film scores and spotlighting the work of female composers.

Anna brings together an inspiring line-up of musical friends, including trailblazing saxophonist and former Royal Albert Hall associate artist Jess Gillam, virtuoso violinist and Hans Zimmer-collaborator Rusanda Panfili, and internationally-acclaimed singer-songwriter Katie Melua, who will present songs from her In Winter album in a moving collaboration with the Pembroke College Girls’ Choir conducted by Luke Fitzgerald, creating a spellbinding blend of voices and textures.

This eclectic evening will include organ arrangements of some of Anna’s favourite film soundtracks, classical organ works, and world premieres of commissions from Olivia Belli and Rachel Portman.

Be part of an unforgettable evening that honours creativity, collaboration, and the remarkable women shaping the future of music.
