From 9-13 March 2026, CPA UK will hold its annual flagship event, the Westminster Seminar on Effective Parliaments, which is attended by around 70 delegates from across the Commonwealth.

This Seminar is aimed at parliamentarians and parliamentary officials/clerks who are relatively new to their role.

The focus of sessions ranges from the role of parliamentarians and parliamentary officials/clerks, ethics and standards, engagement with the media and diversity and inclusion. Sessions are designed to provide space for participatory and interactive exchanges, where rigorous discussion takes place on parliamentary democracy, practice, and procedure, as well as the various ways parliaments work across the Commonwealth.
